All math is an exploration of patterns, and learning them helps to make math work quick and easy. For the multiples of nine from 1-10, the product follows ascending order in the 10's column (0-9), and descending order in the 1's column (9-0). A second pattern you can use to find all the multiples of nine from 1-10. The three steps are color-coded to help you follow along. Subtract 1 from the multiplier. That's the first number of your answer. Then subtract that number from 9. That will be the second number of your answer. All done! The pattern goes beyond 10, but it takes some adjustment!
